The GriffithLSA is only as strong as the people who serve her. It is for this reason that we award Honorary Life Membership to those who have gone above and beyond.

GriffithLSA Life Members:

Rhiannon Benjamin:
Rhiannon was the 2010 President of the GriffithLSA, known at the time as GUSLA. Throughout her period of service she ensured the growth and expansion of the committee roles continued. Through doing this she defined the committee we have today.

Matthew Littlejohn:
Matthew was the 2011 President of the GriffithLSA, known at the time as GUSLA. Throughout his period of service he oversaw the GriffithLSA host the QLSA Conference at Griffith University on the Gold Coast. This conference saw media coverage and great acclaim brought into the GriffithLSA for 2011.

Alexandra Rofe:
Alexandra was the 2011 Vice-President (Education) of the GriffithLSA, known at the time as GUSLA. Through her hard work and service to the GriffithLSA she single handedly developed the Education portfolio into the success it is today.

Dale Mitchell:
Dale was the 2013 President of the GriffithLSA. Throughout his tenure as President, Dale oversaw the rebranding of the GUSLA into our current name the GriffithLSA. This rebranding signified the substantial growth and transformation of the GriffithLSA from it’s humble beginnings. In addition, Dale oversaw the invigoration of the GriffithLSA publications to improve the flow of invaluable information to students.

Thomas Zhong:
Thomas was the 2012-13 Vice-President (Finance & Marketing) of the GriffithLSA. Throughout his service Thomas Zhong ensured the financial viability of the association through the securement of the GriffithLSA’s initial corporate sponsorship.

Matthew Evans
Matthew was the 2014 President of the GriffithLSA. Throughout his tenure as President, Matthew tripled membership, doubled competition participation and doubled event attendance. In addition,  Matthew introduced the Careers & Alumni portfolio and led the Griffith LSA to winning the Cultural Club of the Year.
